I'm Advik. I've spent the last decade building and optimizing infra at a search company you've probably heard of. More recently, building teams that build and optimize infra at a search company you've probably heard of. But this is not about that. This is about the other things I do with my time, when I have the time to them, which is not often enough.
I have all the usual interests you'd expect, explored obsessively, practised averagely, dispensed suddenly, and sometimes rediscovered happily. A close friend of mind astutely identifed that they follow roughly 1-2 year boundaries: 2018-19 was rock climbing, 2020-21 was cycling, 2022-23 was health tracking, 2024 was running, 2025 was cycling again. 2026, I hope, will be about writing and building, but let's find out.
Why a website?
Now that clawdbots/moltbots/openclaws have decided to build and participate in their own social media platform, I figured it was time for me to have some kind of digital presence too. So this is my landing page, forever more. This is where I will hang the words I write, the projects I start, the ideas I have, and more. Maybe...
This is a challenge to myself to not only learn and create new things but actually put them out in the world before they are perfect. Fulfilled in some small measure at least by the act of deploying this website itself. I've wanted to do this for years, but never quite got around to it. Until now. Why? Because AI, of course. I built this entirely with Claude Code in about an hour, sans set up and talking to Uber Eats about my late food delivery. It was truly delightful. (Claude, not the cold noodles).
